I guess this is common knowledge – ‘we can be whatever we desire to be’.
Everyone says this.
To be an exemplary and impactful individual, family person, professional, employee, employer, entrepreneur, cleaner, secretary, sportsperson, artist, teacher, student or leader…
– be courageous enough to speak your truth to yourself first (Self-Awareness + Self-Management are key), and then to others.
– model that which you want to experience (ascertain what is required and start taking baby steps daily).
– then master your art ( be consistent in Doing/Practicing in the area that you desire change).
On second Sunday of this Christmas season, a priest said something that stirred further thoughts in me – He said that “Cowards don’t go to heaven”.
You and I need courage to be our real selves (unique individuals we are fashioned to be, not who we have become over the years due to different environmental factors), ask and answer vital life questions, stand up to compromises, avoid blaming others, stop playing the victim, take responsibility for our actions, make empowering choices and bless mankind with our various special gifts, wherever we may find ourselves.
Whenever we take a convenient route, instead of a tasking and result oriented route to tackle our challenges, it may seem to us that we had a brief relieve, but in the real sense our situation gets even more complicated.
I can say that you are quite courageous, that is why you are on this page now in your efforts to bring forth your best self.
This is not about being perfect human beings, but boils down to making simple daily choices that will strengthen the outcome we want. There are always choices to be made, and these choices determine the result we experience.
“When we have the needed self-awareness we tend to make empowering choices that lead to deliberate actions, which ultimately bring desired results”.
“It will amount to asking for a bit too much, to think we can just wake up and life has happened exactly the way we desire, without our collaboration“.
There is urgent need that we start doing (action) what is required to get a particular outcome, while we rely on nature’s magnanimity and favours.
Please note that it is the nature of humans to avoid any kind of pain (even the slightest stress), that is why we really desire change but wind up in self-sabotage of the very change we crave.
We need a shift from this mode of being to be able to make our life count.
“Our dreams manifest faster with our deliberate awareness, choices, inputs and actions carefully tailored towards achieving desired outcomes”.
It is almost impossible for our dreams to manifest by accident.
“Therefore, it pays great dividend to resist the seduction of looking outside ourselves for reasons why we are not exactly where we want to be”.
– It is critical that we quit blaming other people, or the circumstances of our life. We donate the power to make necessary changes in our lives to others, when we fall in love with blaming.
*I say this with deep sense of love and respect for you, but I have to put things in the right perspective, so we can allow the process of replacing certain limiting beliefs to kick off.
I have great news for you!
It’s a new dawn and time to take absolute responsibility for our lives.
Go for choices that may appear unpopular or tough initially but fulfilling in the long term, rather than easy ones that seem convenient at first but takes you farther from your target.
My Friends! This takes little acts of courage, just start off today by learning to know the appropriate time to say ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to self.
Commit to do the needful in order to become who you desire to be.
We can turn the wheel of our life, relationship, family life, career, business, health, fitness and spiritual life, when we make that simple choice.
I do not trivialize the fact that many of us have experienced lots of negativity, but we still owe it to ourselves and others to give permission to the light in us to shine through.
*Another reason why we should quit blaming and playing the victim… Your today is much more powerful than your ugliest past experiences (“Real treasures dwells in the least expected places”).
Start telling yourself this truth, make deliberate daily choices and execute on them, and watch how amazing your life unfolds.
Live in the present.
